Case Study
Tethys was notified by a partner TPA whose member was receiving bi-weekly infusions of a specialty drug called Soliris. The member was traveling many miles from home to a Tertiary Care Facility in order to receive his infusions. The cost of this member’s care delivered at the facility was approximately $910,000 annually. Through coordination between a Tethys Case Manager and the TPA’s Case Management Team, Tethys successfully integrated our specialty home infusion provider to deliver and administer this medication at the member’s home. The total estimate cost for this patients home infusion treatments will be $525,000 annually---a total projected savings of $385,000.
